Events Intern

We are The Trouble Club, a female led members club that hosts the best speakers (who all just happen to be women) and as we return to live events we are looking for a student who can assist with the running of our events.

1 - 4 hours per week
Between £8.00 and £10.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

The role would be on an ad hoc basis but we’ll likely require help with at least 2 to 4 events a month. Although we’re looking for part time help now, as our events get bigger there may be a permanent role available.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • General assistance in the set up, running and winding down of events. 
  • Taking pictures of the event and filming certain elements.
  • Helping to sell books and other products.
  • Liaising with speakers.
  • Greeting guests and answering questions. 
  • Tweeting and posting stories throughout the event. 
  • As events get bigger there may be opportunities to work on our social media outside of events. 

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Must be organised and prompt. 
  • The ability to take good pictures and video although no technical experience is required.
  • Experience with social media and the desire to get creative.
  • Someone who's passionate about promoting feminist issues. 
  • Someone who’s keen to take the initiative. 
  • A decent phone or camera they can take images and video with. 
  • A laptop may be required for some events.
