In this role the successful candidate will support all product development activity within the various bakery categories (everything from morning goods to online). This is a fast growing category that is high on the food trends agenda. You will have the opportunity to develop new own brand products & improve existing products in line with our customer focused category strategies. You’ll be responsible for the full Concept to Launch Process. You will manage the transition from Blue Sky Development in the test bakery to plant trials and eventually launch, with full adherence to the Manufacturing Stage & Gate Process ensuring 100% accuracy on relevant process timescales & documentation. There will be a need to attend meetings at the Morrisons Head office in Bradford & visit some of the other sites and suppliers. There may also be a requirement to cover occasional weekends for launches / plant trials
About Rathbones Bakery
As part of morrisons manufacturing, It’s our only bakery which means it’s always incredibly busy. Our 400 strong team works 24/7 to produce 50 different products, across 9 different production lines. Producing everything from white bread to hot cross buns, seeded loaves, delicious sourdough muffins, thick crumpets, fluffy pancakes, perfect pittas, and more. Not to mention delicious frozen products for our in-store bakeries.
