Sales Assistant in London

Unearthed by travel loving friends, Decoqai crafts sustainable home decó pieces that evoke nature’s charm in rooms to help raise awareness of environmental issues. This role involves selling our wooden world maps, animal wall and wooden accessories in new pop up stands on weekends in well known London markets and trade shows.

18 - 27 hours per week
Between £9.00 and £10.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

Decoqai & Mosaiqe, are East London start ups crafting sustainable home decor and wooden accessories respectively, from natural woods, and are looking for sales staff for their pop-up stores/stands.

You will be selling items from both companies, which include wooden world maps, wooden watches and sunglasses made from ethically sourced exotic woods.

The role will involve:

  • - Setting up stalls
  • - Selling on stalls using Izettle payment app to process transactions
  • - Packing down stalls and carrying out a stock count
  • - Recording market research data
  • - Stalls are located in Covent Garden, Brick Lane, Greenwich. You can be placed at any of the locations. 

The current rates we pay are:

Starting at £9 per hour + Commission on every product sold

 

We are looking for outgoing people with proven interpersonal and sales skills to work at our various pop-up stands between Friday to Monday. Most shifts are on the weekend but we have trade shows across the UK  for those than can make them. 

  • - You must have demonstrable sales experience. 
  • - Speak English fluently - this is absolutely essential. 
  • - Very outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic. 
  • - Background in performing arts and sustainable/ethical projects is desirable. 
  • - Confident using payment systems.
  • - A Valid UK driving licence would be desirable 

This is a very people focused role, which requires you to communicate with charisma, energy and clarity to different people. You must be capable of holding good conversations with people.

General hours are 9.00am to 6pm (depending on the market, you may be asked to start later or finish slightly later).
