Covent Garden Stalls Sales Assistant in London

Decoqai & Mosaiqe, are East London start ups crafting sustainable home decor and wooden accessories respectively, from natural woods, and are looking for sales staff for their pop-up stores/stands. You will be selling items from both companies, which include wooden world maps, wooden watches and sunglasses made from ethically sourced exotic woods.

9 - 18 hours per week
Between £7.50 and £9.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

The role will involve:

  • - Setting up stalls
  • - Selling on stalls using Izettle payment app to process transactions
  • - Packing down stalls and carrying out a stock count
  • - Recording market research data
  • - Stalls are located in Covent Garden.
  • The current rates we pay are:

£65-£85 per day (depending on experience) + 5-7.5% Commission of Sales

Example: Our world maps are £160, sunglasses average £40, and watches £70. If you sell 1 Map, 3 sunglasses and 2 watches that is £420. That is £31.50 in commission. 

So on the lowest day rate that works out to £96.50 (£65 + £31.50)

 

We are looking for outgoing people with proven interpersonal and sales skills to work at our various pop-up stands on weekends. Most shifts are on the weekend but we have trade shows across the UK  for those that can make them. 

 

  • - You must have demonstrable sales experience. 
  • - Speak English fluently - this is absolutely essential. 
  • - Very outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic. 
  • - Background in performing arts is desirable. 
  • - Confident using payment systems.
  • - A Valid UK driving licence would be desirable 

 

This is a very people focused role, which requires you to communicate with charisma, energy and clarity to different people. You must be capable of holding good conversations with people.

General hours are 9.00am to 6pm (depending on the market, you may be asked to start later or finish slightly later).
