Job Description
If you are a Carer, Care Assistant, Care Worker, Support Worker, worked within the NHS, or even if you have supported a family member, a friend or neighbour - we would like to hear from you. You don’t need to have previous experience to apply as we provide all the relevant training to become a CAREGiver with Home Instead Darlington and Northallerton.

Growing older can be very stressful for some people, so can you imagine taking someone out of their home too? Our home care avoids this, and our CAREGivers allow older people to live long and happy lives, whilst promoting their autonomy and independence.
We provide a variety of services which include companionship, home help, personal care and specialised care. Our service are bespoke and tailored to the needs and wishes of our clients. Continuity of care and building relationships is really important to us, therefore, our visits last a minimum of 1 hour to 24/7.
We pride ourselves on matching our clients with a CAREGiver who has the same interest experiences or background to ensure that a good connection is made to ensure that rapport and a relationship can be built upon.
Full training is provided before visiting any clients and you will go on shadow shifts to get to know your clients before attending calls added to your schedule. We are there to support you in your new role every step of the way.
Qualifications
If you have experience in care or not we will provide you with all if the training you will need along with the help to achieve your Care Certificate and supporting you through any additional training that you wish to complete.
All that we ask is that you are passionate about caring for others and pride yourself on being, friendly, professional and reliable.
- Must have access to own vehicle as out clients can live in remote areas and they may need your assistance to take them to appointments or to maintain a hobby or interest
- You must have a Caring and Empathic nature
- Good working commitment (to fit around the needs of our clients)
- Ability to work alternate weekends both Saturday and Sunday and some evenings if required by the client
- You must be able to work under your own initiative
