Together, we make millions of products a year in our 18 manufacturing sites, allowing us to focus on what our customers want: good quality, fresh food and great value.  We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Analyst in  our Space Performance team.. 

 

As a Supply Chain Analyst (Specialist) in  Space Performance at Morrisons, you will work cross functionally across the business to ensure analysis and insight is completed on all work streams affecting macro space performance and trends. You will proactively undertake deep dive analysis to identify space

investment opportunities for the business and provide recommendations on how store space can be localised to maximise store sales. If successful you will also  help evaluate  new space planning technologies to ensure the advancement of space data and insight. 


What this role will be doing…    

  • Providing an independent view on macro space changes to ensure they are optimised and localised for stores to maximise sales and increase customer satisfaction

  • Advising and directing the Commercial teams on current space performance trends to enable them to plan for their range reset space strategies

  • Evaluating customer insight data on market trends and Commercial strategies to ensure space recommendations factor in future growth opportunities as well as current/historic performance

  • Providing a view of the projected category space changes to ensure that they fulfil the ambitions of the Commercial strategy

  • Providing space recommendations to the Property Format Layout Planning team, which capture the local space requirements of stores

  • Enhancing the current space performance reporting capabilities to improve the way data is accessed and analysed

About You

You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you are tenacious and committed to providing an outstanding service.


To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Clear understanding of retail customers needs and requirements 

  • The ability to work cross functionally and form and manage key stakeholder relationships

  • A track record of delivering increased sales and profit growth through sound business knowledge and retail experience (Desirable)

  • Highly numerate with a strong analytical background

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic SQL knowledge 

  • Good understanding of Business Intelligence reporting platforms, i.e. Qlik Sense, Tableau (Desirable)

  • Experience of data modelling and reporting

  • Great attention to detail

  • Willingness to be flexible when presented with changes to planned workstreams
