Are you looking for your next step in Nursing where you can help patients in our vibrant city centre practice? If so, then we have the role for you. We are looking for a Mental Health Nurse in Primary Care to join us on a Permanent Salaried contract, in our practice based in Brighton area.
About The Role
You will be an experienced nurse who, acting within your professional boundaries to undertake mental health assessments, and provide appropriate evidence –based intervention and evaluation of mental health presentations in General Practice. You will provide emergency psychiatric nursing assessment, advice and support as required as well as providing reviews and follow up for those suffering with mental health conditions. You must be able to demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. You will work collaboratively with the team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. You will also provide support to the clinical team across the organisation, coordinating meeting to discuss developments in Practice and relevant clinical topics. We aim to have the post holder working remotely – over the phone, to provide support and follow up to patients presenting with mental health issues to general practice.
Who We're Looking For
You will be required to hold an RMN qualification and registration with the NMC and show evidence of previous experience of working with patients and understanding the needs of patients with mental health difficulties. You will ideally be able to prioritise your work load and be able to deliver to agreed time scales and standards at all times. The Mental Health advice service will be provided between the following hours: Monday to Sunday - 8am – 8pm. You will work variable hours between these on a 37.5 hour weeks basis.

We are looking for someone on a permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week. In return, you’ll get:
