Band 6 – Deputy Charge Nurse – 12 month Secondment/Fixed Term Contract (with possible extension)

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is now supporting Oxford University continue this work and is recruiting a small clinical team for a new study aimed at understanding more about the immune responses to SARS-CoV2, which is crucial for vaccine development and effective public health management.

The Trust is looking to recruit Band 6 Deputy Charge Nurses to support the smooth running of this new unit for up to 12 months.

Due to the nature of the work it will be an excellent opportunity to be involved in cutting edge research but still delivering the best quality patient care and supporting all the clinical aspects of the day to day running of the unit.

These roles will support the Ward Manager ensure the smooth running of the unit but will also work closely with the research project team allowing them to get a fantastic insight into world leading research delivery.

The successful candidate will be an experienced band 5 staff nurse looking for their next career move at a Band 6 level or an existing Band 6 Deputy Charge Nurse looking to broaden their knowledge and skills. The successful candidates will have previous experience supporting the running of an effective and efficient service and proven ability to work collaborately within a multidisciplinary team.

The Unit will be based at the Churchill Hospital at the newly refurbished Oxford Clinical Research Facility.
