12 month Full-time Internship/Placement in Artist Management

This role will be on a fixed term contract for 12 months and starts on 27 September 2021.

The role will support colleagues working across the Conductors, Instrumentalists and Singers departments. We are seeking passionate and committed applicants, who are keen to learn about the classical music world and would welcome the opportunity to be part of our caring and dynamic team.

The position will be both remote and office based at our offices at Somerset House (minimum 2 days per week in the office).

If you were currently in this role, here are some of the things you would have undertaken this week:
• General Administrative support for the Artist Management department (E.g. Attending meetings and taking
notes, coordinating logistics between our offices)
• Data entry using our online system: keeping our artist diaries up to date
• Updating our website including reviews, biographies and photos.
• Working with our Marketing Department to keep our social media channels relevant.
• Assisting with artists travel/visa requirements and performing research relating to any covid travel and
performance restrictions.
• Assisting with the purchasing of concert/opera tickets and attending some performances in London.
• Booking and coordinating internal and external meetings on Zoom/Teams and at Somerset House


ABOUT YOU
You will be a performing arts enthusiast, who is keen to experience working in the classical music world. You will enjoy working with a range of people, with no two days the same!
You will have good computer literacy skills including ideally the use of word and outlook. You will have good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
A level or equivalent (eg Scottish Higher, International Baccalaureate) qualification.
All necessary equipment (IT/phone) will be provided.


The salary for this role is £20,000. This role will be on a fixed term contract for 12 months and starts on 27 September 2021.
