Beauty and sales intern to join MUDD Beauty in John Lewis
Attention college/university students/graduates We are looking for a Beauty and sales intern to join our team on a 1 week internship to start on the 20th September 2021 finishing on the 25 September 2021. The position is for 4-5 hours per day starting at 9am and finishing at 2pm (we are happy to work around your study’s). You will be based in the makeup department of John Lewis in Solihull, Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for the intern to gain work experience that will help them get a leg up in their chosen profession. The intern will learn customer service and communication skills, commercial awareness, responsibility and numeracy, all of which show you have the attitude and abilities employers want.
What are you going to do:
- Serve customers by helping them select products.
- Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
- Greet and receive customers in a welcoming manner.
- Respond to customer questions.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
- Manage financial transactions.
- Process payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
- Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
