New Product Development (NPD) Specialist - Meat in Bradford

We have a new job vacancy for a New Product Development Specialist – Meat to join our Woodheads manufacturing site at Colne.. In this job role the successful candidate will manage the New Product Development (NPD) process from Concept to Launch for all products that have meat as a component. 

About the Job

In this role you will ensure the Existing Product Development (EPD) and (NPD) end to end processes are completed, on time and in full. The successful candidate will ensure we get the right cuts, cures & smokes on our meats and raw materials which match the initial brief for a finished product. 

You will support the NPD Teams at other sites to deliver to their briefs for new product development & existing product improvements as well as regularly updating key stakeholders on all projects involving all Woodheads sites. You will be dealing with the 3 sites in Woodheads & up to 5 manufacturing sites across meat, cooked meats, pies, pastries, fish & prepared vegetables.  Therefore this role does incorporate regularly travel to our other Manufacturing sites such as Spalding, Winsford, Deeside & Bradford Farmers Boy. There will also be occasions for you to visit Head Office in Bradford and you may have less frequent visits to Worsley, Grimsby & Turriff.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Chilled market/ industry knowledge would be desirable
• Knowledge of product development processes.
• Virtual team management and development skills
• The ability to lead the build of an industry leading range or product from a project brief.

• Commercial judgement
• Ability to act decisively to resolve problems
• Structured approach to planning and organising work
