Gujarati speaking part-time carer in Edgware

We are looking for a Gujarati-speaking personal care assistant to physically support an elderly male dementia patient living at home with his family. The individual will be required to work 2 days per week in Canons Park, Edgware, London. If you’re a compassionate and positive person who has exceptional interpersonal skills and isn’t afraid of hard work, then this is a great opportunity for you. No previous work experience is required however, we expect you to be polite, considerate and patient. This position is aimed at (but not limited to) 1st year university students.

What are you going to do:

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Gujarati-speaking personal care assistant to physically support an elderly male dementia patient living at home with his family. The individual will be required to work 2 days per week in Canons Park, Edgware, London.

Hours:

Normal shift will be 8am to 6pm on a 2-day working week – this can be increased upon mutual agreement. Depending on your availability, weekend work can also be agreed.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support with personal hygiene including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, feeding and brushing teeth.
  • Preparing readymade meals using microwaves and ovens (no cooking is required)
  • Engaging the patient with suitable activities, such as playing games, taking for short walks or having conversations
  • Doing necessary cleaning to maintain a safe, hygienic and tidy environment

Salary:

Starting salary will be £10 per hour. This may be increased upon good performance.  

The carer must provide and use their own PPE and present proof of a weekly PCR test.
