Digital marketing and PR Intern

We want someone who is passionate about the environment and wants to contribute something positive by working with an organisation that is focused on creating environmental and social change through "Action, education, and understanding" We currently have established our Growing Communities Network programme and we want to raise awareness of the environmental and social benefits for communities we are engaged with. In addition to this, we have a number of specific projects on which we want to shine a light on. One key area is raising awareness of our activities and vision. As we are a CIC, income streams are our life blood, so with this greater awareness, we would expect to see an increase in our donations, which is a funding stream we have yet to develop.

4 - 5 hours per week
£10.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

Key resposnibilities:

  • Develop digital presence and PR activities. 
  • Focus on creating awareness of key focus areas, such as projects, vision, education package.  

Finer details about the Internship:

  • Hours: P/T - 5 HRS 
  • Salary:  We will pay above the living wage for the period of the internship £10 per hour

We want someone who primarily believes in what we are doing  and who personally  is invested in trying to create positive environmental change, who  has the skills to use digital media with clear strong messages and build a campaign that is focused on raising awareness through digital and PR. 

What we offer

  • Paid 4 month p/t internship.
  • Chance to develop your CV and show how your strategy increased awareness of our projects and improved income streams. This will be measurable and will show clear evidence to future employers of the impact you had.
  • Option at end of 4 months to be taken on (initially in a part-time capacity) but for the right person a chance to work on developing One Planet Matters into a nationally recognised organisation.

What we ask

  • At least finished university degree
  • At least degree level qualification in marketing/digital marketing + PR.
  • Ideally Post Grad or someone studying as Post Grad qualification in Digital/Marketing & PR.
  • Self motivated and determined.
  • This job will suit someone who is passionate about wanting to create environmental change and who sees it as an opportunity to develop their skills.
  • For the right person and dependent on OPM funding opportunity for employment.
