The Role:

Join us in revolutionising our digital experiences! As UX/UI Developer you'll be at the forefront of change within the business, working within our UX team and development team to build new and enhance current journeys.

Through our agile test & learn process you'll be manipulating code and implementing new features through the MVT tool to allow us a consistently new understanding of user preferences and behaviours. You will need to advocate solutions that will be user friendly to our customers so a keen eye for design will be needed.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS coupled with an understanding of typical ecommerce features and user behaviours. You will be inquisitive and show a willingness to innovate through an understanding of current and emerging market trends. A key feature of this role is the ability to problem solve, you will be responsible for identifying best practice and optimising solutions through both our CMS and our testing platform.

What you'll be doing:

• Translating briefs, concepts and wireframes in to real life customer experiences via our testing platform across 6 websites in various languages
• Lead and support for the wider ecommerce team with any issues that may arise on the website
• Be comfortable using Vanilla JavaScript to manipulate the DOM
• Generate variations of user experiences to test and understand how best to optimise the websites for our shoppers
• Working closely with the product team to share and translate front-end functional specs
• Use insights to inform the evolution of each variation through iterative design and development
• QA of all changes before going live

Required skills and experience:

• Strong knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS is essential
• WCAG accessibilty guidelines
• Solid understanding of user interface / user interaction design
• Experience in mobile first responsive web design
• Ability to understand user analytics and interpret into new experiences
• An understanding of market trends and innovations
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with Javascript testing like Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library or Enzyme

Desired skills and experience:

• REACT experience (Next.js, Gatsby)
• Knowledge of MVT/AB testing platforms preferred
• GIT experience
• Typescript, Docker

We offer a flexible, home-based working model. We have offices in Nuneaton and London, but you will not be required to be office-based.
