The Operations Development Manager will support the development and delivery of the Morrisons Company Plan, through identifying medium to long term opportunities for Morrisons, conducting strategic analysis, valuations and due diligence, and supporting business decision making through scenario modelling and insight.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Operations Development.
This role is based at our Head Office in Bradford and is a full-time, permanent position, based on a 4 day working week and 13x 6 hour Saturdays per annum. Applicants should reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the office.
Key Responsibilities;
Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders including senior team
Consult with senior management to identify, scope and challenge potential opportunities
Support business teams team with new opportunities, insight and diligence
Identify M&A opportunities through market/customer research, trends, and competitor analysis to drive revenue, improve market share, and enhance customer loyalty
Inform, communicate, and support implementation of strategy to address competition, changes in customer preference, and improvements in technology
Scale initiatives from ideas through to fully signed off business cases ready for implementation across the estate
Support portfolio management of the 5 year plan
Use customer data and research to understand trends and opportunities
Provide further insight into Morrisons overall strategy by identifying critical questions through ad-hoc analyses
Summarise insights from analysis and clearly communicate analytical findings in a cohesive story; and articulate an argument to be presented to Executives
Provide project management when required to implement a strategic initiative.
Undertake market analysis/modeling, portfolio reporting, and operational support related to strategy
Produce well structured and formatted senior management presentations, briefings and reports
