Clinical Nurse Specialist - Haematology Oncology - COVID-19 in London

Job Description

The post holder will work closely with both the haemato-oncology Consultants and the nursing teams at TLC. As a member of the multidisciplinary team they will work collaboratively with other members of the MDT to provide the highest standards of specialist nursing care to patients within haemato-oncology.

Job Type:Permanent & Full Time

Shifts:37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with potential weekend shift due to service needs

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide specialist knowledge, expertise and care to haemato-oncology patients.
  • To ensure continual optimal care for inpatients, outpatients and their families.
  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspect of the patient’s physical, psychological, and social needs, including HNA tool completion.
  • Provide support to patients and their families during their diagnosis, ensuring that they have information to help them make informed decisions regarding their treatment.

Skills & Experience

  • Registered Adult Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • 5yrs relevant post registration experience with minimum of 3yrs experience in haemato-oncology care or area of relevance
  • Previous involvement in the development, implementation and audit of clinical guidelines and standards
  • Assertiveness with an ability to negotiate
