Mental health services

  • We provide a wide range of treatment and support to young people, adults and older people experiencing mental illness both as inpatients and within the community. This includes treatment in secure and specialised settings.

Community health services

  • Our diverse range of community health services provide support and treatment to both adults and children. We deliver this care in community hospitals, health centres, GP surgeries and in people’s homes.

Learning disabilities services

  • We provide crisis support and inpatient services and our community learning disability teams work in partnership with local councils to provide assessment and support for adults with learning disabilities.

Social care

  • We provide personalised social care support to people with a range of needs, including people with learning disabilities or mental illness, supporting people to live independently.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Colchester Specialist Community Mental Health Team. We have vacancies for one full-time (37.5 hours) post and and one part-time (22.5 hours) post.

The successful candidates will hold a caseload of service users and a number of responsibilities that include assessment and coordination of care needs, supporting the team duty function, and carrying out initial assessments. We have an exciting psycho educational group program which all new members of the team are encouraged to support and participate in if they are interested. You will be expected to plan and implement evidence-based care to the service users and their carers. You will have the support and supervision of the management team, and as a Band 6 clinician, you will be expected to act as a role model and resource for junior or less experienced staff.

Successful applicants will benefit from regular and consistent clinical supervision, a high level of support through regular caseload reviews with our Flow & Capacity Lead, and meaningful professional development. As a member of our team you will have access to our in-house training workshop program, meaning you will be skilled to offer your clients.

Important Notice: Recently the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 (the Regulations) which amended on 22 July 2021 and come into force on 11 November 2021 that anyone directly employed to work in a Care Home or who are required as part of their role to be deployed to a CQC registered care home are required to have had both their COVID vaccinations, unless they are exempt. This is therefore a requirement of this role and will form part of our pre-employment checks
