The Strategy team is at the forefront of all company strategic initiatives and sits within the wider Business and Science team. The role we are recruiting for is within a small but quickly growing Strategy Team. It offers a broad opportunity to make an impact, get involved in an array of varied projects across the whole business and is very hands-on. We are seeking more of the brightest and best minds to join us to turn our vision into reality.

 

Associates work on developing H&B's global strategy on a macro and micro scale, ensuring it is achievable and aligned with business growth aspirations and market potential.

The Role

You will be the strategy partner collaborating closely with other functions to support them with on-going and future initiatives:

  • Strategic opportunity framing & sizing
  • Conducting primary and secondary research to identify and assess new potential markets, opportunities, services and product areas for H&B to explore
  • Autonomously running and owning a specific strategy workstream
  • Being proactive with assessing market trends, scanning and benchmarking competitors and identifying threats and opportunities
  • Gathering data and information from an array of sources, analysing it and synthesizing in a logical storyline to support the strategic initiative you are working on
  • Supporting with the written production of key strategy documents
  • Supporting the preparation and running of cross-business workshops
  • Working with Strategic Finance to create and assess the investment cases for specific opportunities
  • Working directly with colleagues in other functions to help prepare and document functional strategies aligned to the overarching H&B strategy objectives, as well as provide ad hoc strategy support when required

 

 

About you

  • Graduate Consultant with at least 2-4 years' experience
  • Proven experience within strategy, ideally in a top global consultancy
  • Interest and understanding of at least one of: retail; e-commerce; digital health; health & wellness sector
  • Experience supporting strategy design and ongoing development
  • Experience of strategic change with a genuine desire to improve business performance
  • Ability to grasp complex technical and product concepts
  • Strong technical analysis, MS Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Sophisticated critical thinking – converting complex insights into a structured story and an actionable plan, considering wider business implications
  • Self-starter with the ability to autonomously own and run workstreams
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written in English, as well as an acute listener
  • Track record of successful stakeholder management, ability to facilitate, influence, challenge and engage stakeholders
  • Natural commercial acumen and intellectual curiosity
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change
