We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity. We have four new 2-year training posts for registered Healthcare professionals wishing to work and train as Systemic Family Practitioners within Eating Disorders. During the first year, you will study at Exeter University 2 days a week and will be supported to work as a band 6 within the BEDS Team base in Berkshire for the remaining 3 days per week. This will be followed by a further period of consolidated practice, working at Band 7, working full time in the BEDS Team (subject to successful completion of the first year including academic elements). Intensive supervision and ‘on the job’ training will be provided by a dedicated clinical supervisor within the team.
This is a fully funded full time fixed term training post. However, once you successfully complete the two years, we anticipate that you will have the opportunity to apply for a substantive band 7 post within our expanding service.
We are a CQC-rated Outstanding Trust committed to our staff. BEDS is a specialist treatment service for young people with Eating Disorders and their families across Berkshire. We are a friendly and hard-working multi-disciplinary team who share a passion for offering evidence-based treatments in a creative way to help children, young people, and families. We place a strong emphasis on supervision and believe in an ethos of compassionate support for one another as clinicians.
