About the role

You will be responsible for delivering an effective end-to-end Apprenticeship programme, ensuring that we are able to build a robust and diverse talent pipeline for the future.

You will be responsible for

Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and have these specific risk responsibilities: 

  • Manage the apprenticeship framework, aligned to our present and future business needs 

  • Providing guidelines on apprenticeship standards, routes, and providers 

  • Understanding and communicating the due diligence protocol for apprenticeship programme providers 

  • Liaising with the Tesco Apprenticeship team and third-party suppliers to always ensure contract and process compliance 

  • Keeping informed on all legislation and standard changes that may impact our processes or programmes 

  • Scheduling and delivering annual apprentice campaigns, assessment centres and quality intakes 

  • Ensuring apprenticeship pathways are linked to professional registration 

  • Creating a network of mentors and coaches to support apprentices through their programme 

  • Researching and sustaining accreditations and award recognition for apprenticeship programmes 

  • Seeking opportunities to increase diversity and inclusion within the apprentice recruitment process
