Part-time social media/marketing/sales roles in Birmingham
Our indie self-love event is taking the UK by storm in 2022, and you can help us put it on the map! Your remote/WFH role starts Mon 4th April, just 1hr a day, with £££ earning potential after your trial. You'll get to work alongside the biggest influencers & brands disrupting the femme-infused consumer space, and seriously level up your CV by aligning yourself with our groundbreaking nationwide event, The Schmooze.

Is it your dream to combine your budding sales & marketing/social media skills with your love for the wellness & lifestyle sector, by helping scale an indie self-love event taking the UK by storm? Your role starts Mon 4th April, and a full timeline of your role & expectations is outlined below.
WHO THE ROLE IS FOR:
- Do you want industry experience working with the biggest influencers & brands disrupting the femme-infused consumer space? If you love the idea of working within the self-love industry, helping to manifest a groundbreaking event & collaborating with likeminded people on your wavelength, this is for you.
- The Woohoo! Club is hiring 4 high-energy, tenacious, likeminded people who want to experience what it’s like to work for a female-owned startup on the cusp of taking The Schmooze (our indie self-love event that launched in Brum last year)... nationwide. THE ROLES OUTLINE:
- All roles will start out as a 1hr/a day role in community development, curating & outreaching to dream contacts on our target list. After a 6 week paid trial & by mid-May, two candidates will move into sales executive roles with paid incentives, where they can earn a hefty 20% commission (ballpark £4-5k total) on paid sponsorships they bring to The Schmooze, made possible by our incredible training program.
- One candidate will become our part-time Community Manager with an expanded role in sight. And all that, is going to happen by July 2022.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
- This opportunity is rare, because it will entail a steep but exciting learning curve about how to pitch, sell & close sponsorship & VIP ticket sales for our breakthrough event business, in an authentic & frankly very exciting, heart-pumping, get loud & creative, kind of way. At the same time, you will be working in a remote environment that’s highly structured, safe & supportive.
- A huge, standout highlight to your CV will be ‘I helped scale The Schmooze, & put her on the map’. If you want to make history by establishing an upcoming femme-inspired brand, this is your shot.
- Our founder Chi is a Creative Director with 10 years+ experience helping to produce industry events in New York & LA. “I intend to impart my wisdom upon the final 3 candidates with personal dedication. Our pilot event (The Schmooze) sold out with 4 weeks left to go, and this time, we’re quadrupling the attendee list & adding in new, never-before-seen elements. I would have killed for an entry-level role like this when I was younger, especially with above industry-standard commissions like these on the table.”
A TIMELINE OF EXPECTATIONS:
(Pilot Task) Mon 28th March:
- 8 shortlisted candidates will complete a pilot test task where you research 20 accounts that you feel fit The Schmooze brand. Chi will be looking to see how good your investigative skills are and if you’ve got what it takes to be an excellent scout.
- Due EOD Mon 28th March / can be flexible a few days +/-)
- 1 hour long / Payment: £10
(Weeks 1-6) Mon 4th April - Fri 13th May:
- 4 chosen candidates will continue to scout for anyone who’s building businesses & missions just oozing with feminine energy in Birmingham. We already have a ton of people in our ecosystem, but we want to make sure we know about all the fresh talent, up-and-comers and most high-vibe collabs we should be hitting up! At this stage, you’ll be talking to a bunch of people 1-2-1 with your own snazzy email address & making things HAPPEN!
- 1 hour a day 5 days a week (6 weeks)
- Payment: £10/hr (£50 a week)
(Weeks 6 - 12) Monday 16th May - mid-July:
Phase 1:
- One candidate will progress to nurturing all communications with The Schmooze attendees & developing our community online.
- Incentive: This is when your involvement will become really exciting, as you get to liaise with all our attendees, VIPs & partners in the lead up to The Schmooze. There will be an ongoing & expanded role available based on your success.
- 1 hour a day, 5 days a week (7 weeks), then from Mon 4th July - Saturday 3rd September, 1 hour a day, 3 days a week (9 weeks)
- Payment: £12/hr
Phase 2:
- Two candidates will progress to direct sales roles, where you will learn how to build, nurture & sell to secure our dream partnerships. There will be paid incentives & you will be closely supported to ensure your success.
- Incentive: You’ll be under Chi’s wing, onboarding her years of sales experience & forming your own to accelerate the next steps you take in your career. And if the energy is right between us, there will be a role for you for the next events, where your commission could exponentially increase as we expand our offerings.
- Up to 2-3 hours a day depending on number of calls booked/lead response time etc.
- Payment: 20% commission on every sale secured, predicted to be around £4-5K per exec if every package is sold.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Working hours are super flexible, so if you have any concerns about the '1hr a day' bandwidth, just reach out and ask the question.
- You don’t have to have a sales background to apply. You just have to love speaking to likeminded people & consider yourself to be confident, charismatic, and great with words. That extends to you being a great communicator within your team too. Nearly all the interns & junior candidates we’ve hired have made it inside our team because they are tenacious, have a great ‘I see the big picture if I work at this’ attitude, and react quickly to overcome hurdles. - Hey, I’m Chi! I’m a Creative Director with a career spanning 10 years working with some of the biggest brands in the world. Alongside that wild ride — I built my first wellness company when I was 23, teaching emotional resilience skills to children in schools.
