Stanfords bookshop customer service

We are one of the last remaining independent book retailers in the UK trading since 1853. We are looking for full time customer service advisors who are interested in travel, maps and the environment. We carry a vast range of books, globes, maps and travel accessories in our Covent Garden store.

16 - 40 hours per week
Between £9.50 and £11.50 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

You will help customers choose the travel books and maps that they need for their trips. No prior experience is required although if you have worked previously in customer service that would be helpful. We provide all your training to find the right products and handle phone and email enquiries. If you are interested in learning to print maps and maritime charts on demand we would love to have you learn these skills and make your job more interesting.

You will normally work Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm with one hour unpaid for lunch. You might have to work occasionally at the weekend.

We offer a generous staff discount of 40% not just on the books we sell but pretty much anything in print. The same discount is offered on all items we sell.

The base salary is £9.50 per hour but may be more depending on prior experience.

Dutch speaking would be very good.
