What are you going to do:
From Reading to Wireless, Boomtown to Leeds, festival work for young people is on the rise. Everybody would love free tickets to the biggest festivals in the UK, so why don't you be one of them?
In some cases, you will be tasked with helping and working with small businesses hired for the festival. This may be food trucks, clothing stores or those stores where you can buy anything; this is a great option if you are great with customer service and love working in fast-paced environments.
Most festivals in the UK hire large teams of volunteers to help with all aspects of a festival. This may be building stages and offering support behind the scenes of these massive events. As a volunteer coordinator, you receive free admission to the festival as a little thanks for helping the event run smoothly. Depending on the size and popularity of the festival, teams can be between 100 and 200 volunteers.
Festivals can hire you as a part of their operations team, as festivals cannot solely rely on volunteers. Most tasks are building sets, delivering equipment across the area and keeping staff and volunteers fed for the festival's duration.
