Costa Coffee – Global Head of Digital Products and User Experience


As the Global Head of Digital Products and User Experience you will lead Costa’s global digital product capability, roadmap and agenda to deliver digital consumer experiences across key global markets.  You will create best-in-class digital product capability and agile product development to unlock growth across markets in app, web, in-store and drive-thru experiences, underpinned by our loyalty schemes – Costa Club.  You will harness your technical expertise to coach and develop the team and continue to raise their technical skills across product management, UX/UI design, and digital content.

 

We are looking for a strong strategic leader, with exceptional senior stakeholder management skills; who is able to shape, influence, prioritise and deliver a digital agenda which unlocks material growth.

A bit about the role...

Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to)

  • Lead the development and delivery of digital products across key markets through agile scrum delivery teams
  • Ensure global digital product capability to accelerate markets at pace
  • Work with digital market leads to define the future digital product roadmap and innovation trends
  • Work with international markets to assess and define strategic opportunities 
  • Demonstrate how digital products and experiences will help drive better engagement and growth for Costa in markets
  • Leverage existing capability to scale digital products globally
  • Define product requirements for single digital platform capability used across multiple markets
  • Lead cross-functional teams across markets, IT and Digital Centre of Excellence to deliver scalable experiences
  • Lead team of digital product owners and experience designers to execute digital products into local markets working with in-market digital lead

  • Operated at a leadership level within Digital Product & User Experience in a consumer sector
  • Experience leading high performing digital teams: coaching junior members and stretching senior professionals
  • Proven success of driving digital product and/or experience in one or more consumer markets outside of the UK, with expertise across native and/or hybrid app development.
  • Demonstratable experience of leading cross-functional agile/scrum teams in multiple markets
  • Influencing skills able to represent and gain buy-in to the strategy and roadmap with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Expert understanding of how to unlock consumer and customer needs
  • Technical competence of core tools such as Adobe Analytics, Jira, PowerBI and session replay tools such as UXCam.
  • Sector knowledge of retail or food and beverages would be an advantage but not essential

Location: Central London Digital Office (2-3 days a week) with the remainder hybrid
