Lead Agile Delivery Manager

Accountable for end-to-end delivery and operations across an agile value stream made up of a combination of internal scrum delivery teams, third party platforms and partners, and outsourced product delivery. Aligning across these delivery squads, holders of this role ensure clear product and technology vision, delivery roadmap, budget management, technology and product quality, and agility are mastered by the value stream.

A bit about the role...

• Maintains relationships across verticals include technology-to-business and technology-to-region/market to ensure delivery aligns and exceeds expectations of stakeholders
• Collaborates across groups to deliver against organisational must win bets and technology roadmaps aligned to regional and global ambitions
• Ensures delivery aligns and achieves organisational OKRs to realise incremental value in line with organisational and regional objectives – accountable for aligning OKRs with stakeholders, driving delivery towards OKR realisation, and reporting and measurement of results
• Able to approach complex delivery projects in an agile way – coaching and supporting the teams to transform the project to a product and tackle it in both an incremental and iterative way
• Partners with enterprise architecture and across technology teams to align delivery to long term technology strategy including reducing and optimising the cost-base, increasing the agility and resilience of technology systems, and increasing the pace of change in the vertical
• Supports and fosters team leaders, organisational welfare (career development, enthusiasm, alignment), supporting team needs and learning, facilitates agility, and energizes team leaders and the entire delivery organisation keeping it active, creative, and motivated
• Recruits and line manages Agile Delivery Managers and other senior leadership roles within the value stream organisation
• Ensure organisational budget is maintained reporting by aligning agile delivery outcomes to project capex and revex spend for each financial period/quarter/year
• Manages risk across delivery streams ensuring appropriate mitigations are in place, and challenges and issues are proactively dealt with/surfaced/escalated

• Experience leading/coaching more than one agile team concurrently
• Experience managing managers and organisations of between 10 and 50 people (including external/outsourced partner and vendor teams)
• Experience delivering in the relevant technology stack (digital experience and engagement platforms, mobile apps, websites)
• Experience organising, estimating, and planning an agile delivery programme of work
• Experience managing agile budgets over £1M, SOWs, and other financial controls in an agile environment
• Experience in a hands-on delivery role: scrum master, agile project manager, delivery manager
• Past experiencing delivering technical implementations
