We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a PR & Social Media Intern at Think Mad creating and curating engaging content for platforms such as Locally.news Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and Linked in.
What are you going to do:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a PR & Social Media intern / Apprentice at Think Mad, a fast-paced media agency in Liverpool, Widnes and London,
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with the company's overall marketing plan
- Create and schedule engaging social media content and research the latest social trends
- Monitor and track the performance of our social media channels, including analysing metrics and creating reports
- Engage with our community of followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in the creation of social media ads and campaigns
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and best practices
- Write copy for the website, blogs, pitches, and press releases
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our in-house teams and gain hands-on experience in the media industry. This is a unique opportunity for a student or graduate studying Marketing, English Language, or Journalism to develop their skills and grow their career in Journalism, social media and marketing.

Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent copywriting knowledge and experience
- Proficiency in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, linked in (You Tube, Tick Tok, Pinterest would be amazing)
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with our customers
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- passion for journalism, PR and social media and staying up to date with the latest trends
- A willingness to learn and grow in the role
This is a fixed intern position, with travel expenses and breakfast/lunch paid for weekly. You would be expected to work in the office 2 days per week. Depending on the task, there may be scope for additional work outside of this.
We would love for this role to develop into a full-time position once the correct candidate is ready and in line with the business needs.
