Adult Deputy Manager 

£30,000 per annum  

Grantham, Lincolnshire

Hours: 42.5 hours per week; 4 days on, 4 days off

Contract: Full Time; Permanent

Options Autism are recruiting an Adult Care Deputy Manager to join our teams within the Grantham area. Our registered independent homes offer residential care for vulnerable adults with autism, complex needs and learning disabilities. Our homes are based in Grantham but are within commutable distance of Nottingham, Colsterworth, Newark-on-Trent and surrounding areas.

The Role: We are currently seeking a Adult Care Deputy Manager to join us on a permanent basis working at our Hazel House Home based in Grantham.  As a Adult Care Deputy Manager you will be responsible for; working with individuals who may have complex /challenging behaviours, supporting management with the on call system, completing supervisions with staff and working as part of our One Team approach to deliver exceptional care and support.  Administering medication and supporting with documentation, leading the shifts and supporting the staff team to ensure the home is compliant and all individuals’ needs and wishes are met.  A varied role ideal for those looking for a Team Leader position within an Adult care environment. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Registered Manager with day to day tasks
  • Supervision of the team
  • Coaching and developing the team to maximise their performance and potential and work effectively to deliver the best outcomes
  • Managing and organising training for all staff
  • Completing staff rotas
  • Attending professional meetings
  • Updating documentation to reflect any new changes

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with experience within adult care who has level 3 Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be Qualified in Level 3 Diploma Care Leadership and Management
  • Experienced in managing and supervising people
  • Able to support the management of a 24/7 operation
  • Experienced in working within a framework of safeguarding
  • Excellent working knowledge of equality and diversity
  • Excellent organisational skills, accurate record keeping with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
