Job Title:         Psychotherapist

Location:         Wetheringsett Manor, Suffolk

Salary:             £40,000 to £45,000 (pro rata) per annum

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join our Clinical Hub, working as a key integrated member of our clinical and education team at Wetheringsett Manor, Stowmarket, Suffolk. In this exciting role, you will work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.

You will implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to helping our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy. Undertaking all aspects of Psychotherapy clinical duties, you will adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines, carrying out specialist individual assessments and interventions, and preparing relevant documentation, including writing reports. A significant element of this role will be working alongside the onsite clinical team to continue to develop the clinical service provision for the school include providing support and training to staff and parents.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant qualification in Psychotherapy
  • Registered with BACP or equivalent
  • Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
  • Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs)
  • Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision
  • Experience of multi-professional work teams or services within designated speciality
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car is desirable
