Position: KS2 Class Teacher
Location: Smallbrook School, Shrewsbury
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 9am - 4.30pm
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent; Term Time Only
We are looking for an experienced KS2 Class Teacher to join our fantastic team at Smallbrook School.
The role
We are looking for a creative, active and open-minded KS2 Class Teacher to join our family feel team. You must have a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring even the most challenging of minds and behaviours. We are looking for candidates, who want to get involved, have their ideas heard, aren’t afraid of getting dirty on the farm or in workshops and who are resilient, active and caring.
Ideally, you will be a creative thinker and be able to turn the core curriculum into a fun and engaging subject. There will be usual classroom lessons but also an expectation to use an alternative teaching approach on the farm and in workshops. Previous experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) isn’t essential but it is preferred. If you have no experience, please research Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and the challenges it presents. We are looking for qualified teachers for this position, PGCE or QTLS.
