Assisting with lawn care and renovation , cutting grass , preparing seedbeds , operating pedestrian cultivators, liaising with clients
Help required on a partime basis that might become a full time position for the right person .
We look after peoples lawns , we grow the grass , applying fertiliser and weedkiller where required. We carry out cultural treatments - aeration and scarifying lawns to repair. if you were comfortable using pedestrian machinery that would be an advantage.
In some cases we start from scratch and prepare the area for re-seeding or laying turf . Its a role that will suit some one who is fit and healthy as the work can be quite heavy, for example when moving top soil. It will suit some one who is not interested in sitting in an office but wants to be outside in the fresh air, in all weathers - so some days can be glorious others wet and gloomy. We work in domestic gardens through out Hertfordshire from a base in St Albans .
The work will be to a certain extent planned around the applicant but ideally you would be available to work Thursdays / Fridays and may be Saturdays .
The company has been going for 3 years and is a member of the UK lawncare association , currently run by 2 family members , splitting the admin and operational side between them.
There will be no formal induction but on the job training will be given
