Job description

At OFG, we work smarter so you can spend more time doing the things you love.

How would you like to work 4 days but be paid for 5?*

Our colleagues’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we’re always looking for new ways to improve everyone’s work/life balance. We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).

If the trial is a success, we’ll be rolling the 4DWW out across the Group – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join #teamOFG!

Do you want to work in a dynamic and innovative environment?

Do you have a passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential?

Do you want a great work life balance?

Then join our close-knit team at Glebedale School, a small SEMH provision in Stoke on Trent.

Job Title:               Art Instructor

Location:              Glebedale School, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Salary:                  Up to £30,000 per annum

Hours:                  37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract:              Permanent; Term time

We now have a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Art Instructor to join us at Glebedale. Join a growing, motivated and highly dedicated team.

Glebedale School is proud to offer support to a broad range of pupils with complex SEMH needs. With a high ratio of staff to pupils we have the time to build real relationships with our young people and offer a welcoming and nurturing environment.

About the role

As an Art Instructor for Glebedale School, you will be responsible for developing and improving the skills of the students within the school, whilst encouraging positive learning and rewarding pupils for good behaviour. Managing the resources for the classroom and planning your lessons creatively will ensure pupils meet the curriculum and reach their maximum potential.

The post holder will be part of a strong dedicated team committed to providing our students with the very best outcomes through academic studies. The role will be challenging but rewarding, working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference. Covering the Art curriculum, you will be expected to ensure teaching and coordination of flexible, person-centred programs of study for designated individuals and groups of pupils with autism.

Already experienced in an SEMH environment, you will be forward thinking, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by supporting families and helping every child to reach their potential.
