We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join pur team at Smallbrook School located in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
About Us
Smallbrook School is a specialist SEMH provision set in the heart of the Shropshire countryside and are specialists in reengaging the young people who join our family with their education. Our school has facilities for and can accommodate up to 50 students. Our class sizes are a maximum of four students but are mostly less. Smallbrook School has a range of learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties which require a significantly higher level of support. The education we provide gives our young people the experience of achievement as well as the qualifications they need to get on in the world.
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate(s) will hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards.
You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising pupils as they explore further afield.
This role will entail accompanying students on Outdoor Education activities as well as being based in the school. Part of supporting the Outdoor Education will involve driving the school minibus.
