Your contribution to the role of workforce administrator will be truly valued and supported as you work at The Dean Neurological Centre full time (37.5 hours per week)

The Dean Neurological Centre is a large 60 bed service in on the outskirts of Gloucester (GL2 9EE), providing specialist nursing and therapy services for people living with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability and independent living.

You will be part of the friendly and supportive administrative function as you aid the corporate recruitment team, monitor workforce compliance, process employment changes and payroll queries as well as keeping files in order.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new employees
  • Processing employee contract changes/variations including maternity and paternity.
  • Maintaining orderly and up to date personnel files
  • Effectively managing employee compliance with key requirements such as DBS and immigration checks.
  • Supporting line managers in the process for employee investigations and meetings, e.g., absence reviews and disciplinary meetings or grievances.
  • Timely and accurately processing of a monthly payroll cost report.
  • Promoting best practice in line with organisational policies and procedures
  • Providing information and signposting to resolve employee related queries.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks to support the Senior Leadership team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Been educated to the equivalent of ‘A’ Level standard or have adequate previous experience in a similar role.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • A professional telephone manner
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Skills to use Microsoft office packages
  • Word processing skills
  • Efficient organisational skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare business
  • Appreciation of Data Protection Act and GDPR matters
