The Opportunity

Our next Children’s Residential Deputy Manager will be someone who has: 

  • Mandatory: Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Experience of working in a residential setting
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation such as Children’s Act and Quality Care Standards
  • Experience of leading and motivating teams
  • Ability to effectively train individuals and groups

As Deputy Manager some of your duties will be: 

  • Supervise care staff and take charge of the Home/s in absence of the Registered Manager
  • Keep up to date with regulation requirements and assist the Registered Manager with the implementation, evaluation and review of the Statement of Purpose as and when required
  • Raising awareness of Company policies and procedures and standards set by the Regulatory Body to staff members
  • Provide regular supervision and annual appraisals in accordance with company policies and standards set by the Regulatory Body
  • Participate in team meetings, supervisions and annual reviews in accordance with Company policy

Acorn Education & Care are recruiting a Children’s Residential Deputy Manager to join our Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) team in North Aston, Oxfordshire.

Park Farm is a registered 8 bed residential children’s home offering care and support to children aged 8-18 years with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Located in a rural setting, close to Chipping Norton, Park Farm provides a caring, structured and homely environment for our children. We are within commuting distance of Swindon, Gloucester, Banbury, Bicester, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Oxford and other surrounding towns and villages.
