Job Title: Primary Teacher

Location: Mountfield Heath School, RobertsbridgeEast Sussex

Salary: £30,000 - £38,800 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Due to growth in service we are looking for a Primary Teacher to join our fantastic team at Mountfield Heath School, Robertsbridge. As a Primary Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises their achievements and ability to develop.

This is a great opportunity for a Teacher who wants to spend less time on paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Primary Teacher experienced in teaching a range of subjects and who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Purpose of Job

  • To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Head of School
  • To teach a range of subjects as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum
  • In consultation with the Headteacher/Senior Leadership Team undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum

Educated to Degree level and/or of Qualified Teacher Statusyou will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.

Mountfield Heath School is a new independent special educational needs provision, for 32 pupils aged 5-12. The successful candidate will be working alongside Teachers, support staff and therapists to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs including social, emotional, behavioural, communication and learning difficulties.
