Job Title:          Head of Sustainability 

Location:         Hybrid role, the office is Bolton based

Salary:             Up to £45,000 - £50,000 per annum £70k OTE

In this new role as Head of Sustainability, you will play a pivotal role, in leading and overseeing our sustainability initiatives, and shaping and implementing our sustainability strategy across all aspects of our business. 

We're looking for a driven, determined and capable sustainability professional that is looking to step up and create and implement OFG's sustainability strategy. 

You’ll be responsible for: 

  • The development, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive sustainability strategy that aligns with OFG’s goals and values.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into various departments, including operations, procurement, marketing, and our sites. 
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of sustainability.
  • Driving innovation by identifying opportunities for sustainable product development, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and more.
  • Establishing and tracking sustainability ratings, metrics, and KPIs, preparing regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engaging with external partners and government bodies to enhance the OFG's sustainability partnerships and influence.
  • Lead and inspire the sustainability mindset, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for: 

  • A degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field.
  • A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sustainability strategies within a corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, carbon reduction initiatives, circular economy principles, and relevant sustainability frameworks 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term goals with long-term vision.
  • Experience in managing and reporting on sustainability metrics and initiatives.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Multisite experience ideally within a regulated environment
