We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Primary Teacher with SEMH/ASC experience to join our brand-new team at Brookthorpe Hall School, Gloucester. Someone who takes a more creative approach to teaching and leadership would be perfect for this role.
About the School
Brookthorpe Hall School is a new independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 7 to 14, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs, SEMH/ASD/Complex trauma. Our dedicated team will work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
About the Role
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and committed Primary Teacher to join our educational team and to help deliver an outstanding curriculum, motivate the pupils and achieve positive outcomes for our young people.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom. You may have specialist knowledge and experience of working with autistic spectrum disorder or pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Or you may have experience of working across both specialisms
Job Summary and Duties
Working as a Primary Teacher for Brookthorpe Hall School, you will deliver fun educational based learning which is tailored to each of our pupils to ensure they will achieve positive results. The role will be challenging but rewarding, working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference. You will be expected to lead the teaching of and co-ordinate flexible, person-centred programmes of study for individuals and groups of pupils. You will be able to demonstrate a practical, hands-on approach to teaching and be prepared to go above and beyond for the young people we support.
