About the Role

Outcomes First Group is on the lookout for a talented IT Security individual to come and join our growing team. 

As our IT Security Operations Engineer, you will ensure that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of OFG’s Information Systems are maintained to protect our Service Users, Staff and Data. 

You will take the lead in monitoring, analysing and responds to threats and vulnerabilities across the OFG Technology estate. 

You’ll also coordinate team efforts to ensure that Security Alerts & Incidents are promptly identified, contained and eradicated, working closely with the other members of the IT team, our security partners and the wider business to do so.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Proven experience of working in an IT Security Role within a Corporate or Education environment.
  • A good understanding & experience of cyber security principles & best practices and experience of implementing them at a business wide level.
  • Hands-on experience analysing high volumes of logs, network data, Microsoft 365 data and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, capable of communicating effectively with colleagues from all areas of the organization.
  • Change Enablement and approval procedures experience
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of tasks and issues.
  • Knowledge of working in an ITIL Framework
  • Knowledge of Security Frameworks such as Cyber Essentials and NIST
  • Azure AD Identity & Access Management (SSO, Conditional Access, AIP)
  • Working with and using the O365 Security Portal.
  • Microsoft Defender 
  • Firewall (ideally Fortinet)
  • Microsoft InTune Endpoint Manager
  • Windows Server – 2012 – 2019
  • Networking (ideally Unifi Switches and Access Points)
