To drive this initiative, we have established the Petcare Analytics Group, an internal analytics capability focused on delivering insights that propel better decision-making, enhance pet welfare, optimize customer experiences, and streamline operational practices.

As part of the expansion of our Petcare Analytics Group, we are seeking an experienced Senior Insights Analyst to lead the delivery of bespoke projects that contribute to our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide insightful analyses from a diverse range of internal and external data sources to inform and guide strategic discussions across all functions within the Pets at Home Group.
  • Deliver evidence-based narratives in a compelling manner, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions and take strategic actions.
  • Act as a business partner, collaborating continuously with colleagues to identify current and future business needs, maintaining a commercial mindset, and uncovering beneficial opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for process and data quality improvements, collaborating with other areas of the Petcare Analytics Group to enhance business and VIP loyalty scheme data.
  • Proactively communicate analysis results that lead to improved understanding and operational efficiencies, curating a knowledge bank for the benefit of our marketing and trading teams.
  • Own and develop data relationships with stakeholders, serving as the technical point of contact for those outside the Petcare Analytics Group.
  • Share knowledge, technical best practices, and outcomes to develop your direct team and other analysts you collaborate with.

About You:

  • Proven ability to apply analytical techniques to generate commercial value and positive outcomes, preferably within a consumer-centric business.
  • Strong SQL skills and extensive experience working with large-scale data warehouses. Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as R or Python is beneficial.
  • Highly numerate, familiar with statistical techniques, and capable of translating complex analyses for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing end-to-end analytics projects, from understanding business needs to combining relevant data sources, translating outputs, and creating commercial success through actionable insights.
