Job description

We currently have a requirement for a Electrical Project Engineer to take up a key position managing HV / EHV projects in the construction phase. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the delivering the construction of our electrical engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in adherence to quality standards. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing resources, and providing technical guidance to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will also be involved in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and making strategic decisions to overcome challenges during the project lifecycle. You will be offering full construction support to the client and delivery teams, establishing working relationships to execute projects efficiently. You will also: Liaise with our in-house expert design / pre construction teams in the early stages prior to project handover to Operations Be responsible for approving the scope of works, the plan and the target cost for each element of the project the PM is assigned to. Provide clear leadership to the Project Teams and also controlling the activities of the Teams against budget. Be responsible for ensuring safe management and systems of work are deployed by all personnel involved on the project and accountable for establishing effective controls of the site construction activities. The Person: To be successful within this role, you will have a strong proven background within a similar role project management position, within the energy sector. You will also have experience in the delivery of EHV & HV projects/project management on 33kV Networks with experience at 132kV desirable. Working with or for a DNO, IDNO or ICP will be an advantage. Alongside the above you will also possess: Strong co-ordination and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain compelling relationships. Proactive and motivated approach with a ‘can do' attitude Empathetic approach to both internal and external customers, offering first class customer service at all time.
