A major freight forwarding organisation is looking for a sales / telesales professional to sell their road freight services, also to take bookings, provide quotes and win new business. ROLE: Telesales - Road FreightLOCATION: CheshireBASIC SALARY: £25k to £30kCommission: monthly ROLE: Able to build and maintain good relationships with our customers, partners and suppliers Selling the companies road freight services to B2B clients Handle the quotes we receive in from our customers/partners. A mixture of inbound sales calls plus external cold calling sales calls. Generating sales leads Acknowledge receipt of the quotation request. Obtain costs from our approved suppliers Ensure all requirements have been met Quote the customer ensuring margin added Follow up with the customer/partner after a suitable time period Record the quote and whether we won the job. Develop relationships with our customer/partners Sell our other services to them. Proactively sell new business. Accompany colleagues to supplier/customer meetings (if necessary) Handle any minor issues with customers/suppliers Keep manager updated of any issues. Reporting to Operations Manager Help and support other colleagues as and when necessary Experience General min. 1 to 3 years road freight forwarding sales experience.
