Work as a Transmission Line Design Engineer in London
Manpower Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Design Engineer based remotely, working for a global transmission power company.
As a Transmission Line Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge composite insulated cross-arm (CICA) solutions for transmission line compaction. You will be responsible for including integrating CICA solutions, designing and optimizing transmission lines up to 420kV including insulation coordination, specification of clearances, support head geometry, electrical effects, structure spotting, load-strength coordination, span optimization, bill of quantities and cost estimates.
Ideally you will have previous experience in PLS CADD and PLS POLE transmission line engineering and educated to a bachelor's degree or similar. Familiarity with technical standards and codes such as Euronorm, IEC, BS, ASCE would be beneficial and candidates with experience of working with 420 kV lines would be of particular interest.
