Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housing and council works, with a proven track record of successfully managing contracts from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate various projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts related to housing and council works projects, including procurement, negotiation, execution, and close-out.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
Manage contract documentation and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies and procedures.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
Collaborate with project teams to establish project objectives, budgets, and schedules, and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Lead and mentor a team of contract professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts management, with a focus on housing and council works projects.
Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and construction industry standards and practices.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCM, PMP) preferred.

Salary and Benefits:
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year dependent on experience
Benefits: Company car, Company pension, On-site parking, Monday to Friday plus overtime opportunities.
