£28,000 - £33,500 depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced hospitality manager with the ability to motivate and lead a great team and the creative drive to develop the business as part of the management team.
South Street Kitchen (SSK) is an independent cafe/restaurant based in Park Hill flats, right next to Sheffields train station. We serve delicious, freshly prepared vegan and vegetarian food, spectacularly good coffee, amazing cakes and a great selection of craft beers, wines and signature cocktails. The kitchen is open Monday to Sunday with an all day brunch/lunch menu and on Friday evenings with a regularly changing menu. We are also a popular event space during the day and evenings.
This is a full time position responsible for the day-to-day operation of the café/restaurant. Specific responsibilities include: recruit, train, support and develop the front of house team so they continue to offer exceptional customer service; control stock and payroll; ensure the cleanliness, style and feel of South Street Kitchen; and manage the relationship with service providers. You will also be responsible for social media, our newsletter, website and marketing to help us to grow the business. The position is part of the management team (along with the two directors and head chef) dealing with business strategy and financial management.
