Mechanical Design Engineer
Perm, up to £40k pa DOE, 40hrs per week, Mon to Fri, 25 days Holiday + B.H

I am recruiting an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to work for one my clients, a busy Manufacturing and Engineering company based in Normanton.
Your role, as a Mechanical Design Engineer will involve handling all of the company's design and development of new and existing products. Day to day tasks will include:
-Producing concept design ideas
-Producing detailed technical drawings and 3D CAD models
-Analysing customer requirements to create accurate parts and component lists
-Review drawings and prepare drawing documentation
-Communicate with team members from various departments including Production and Sheet Metal
-Liaising with both customers and suppliers alike
-Evaluate strength and cycle time requirements
-Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
To be successful, you must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, HNC or be Apprentice Trained with proven experience within the industry. Other keys skills required:
-Experience using Solidworks is essential
-Production of engineering drawings, 3D-CAD models and technical files
-Knowledge and experience of Sheet Metal would be advantageous
-Ability to present designs to customers
-Preparing BOM's
-Creative mind with good problem-solving skills
You will be required to work 40hrs per week, 8.30am to 5.30pm from Mon to Fri, although there is flexibility in both start and finish times to suit your needs. The Salary for the role is up to £40k pa Depending on Experience and the role is advertised as Permanent.
