Activity Assistant for a Summer Langauge Course for Teenagers in Chester
Short course, fixed-term contract, activity staff to assist with activities, excursions, administration and safeguarding of teenage students of English in multilingual, multicultural learning environments on a summer course for teenagers.
What are you going to do:
ELC Chester is located close to the centre of the beautiful, historic city of Chester, in the north west of England right on the North Wales border.
We are now looking for short course, fixed-term contract, activity staff to assist with activities, excursions, administration and safeguarding of teenage students of English in multilingual, multicultural learning environments on a summer course for teenagers.
Your duties incl.:
• Running or assisting with sports and arts activities, such as football, tennis, drama and dance.
• Assisting with social events such as discos, quizzes and games.
• Running student induction activities such as city tours.
• Helping teachers to lead excursions by making sure students know what they are doing, where they are going, when and where the meeting points are.
• Preparing class lists for lessons and activities.
• Inputting student data and record-keeping.
• Assisting with marking of placement tests.
• Making sure safeguarding measures are adhered to at all times.
• Monitoring students during break and lunchtimes.
• Collecting and returning students to the Bus Interchange.

Extra information
Experience in this type of role is not essential (we provide training) but previous knowledge of running activities & trips with teens would be appreciated.
You must have the right to the work in the UK & unfortunately are unable to sponsor any applicants without this right to work.
We are unable to provide accommodation in the Chester area.
Appointments are subject to the current legislation covering vetting arrangements for adults.
A satisfactory enhanced DBS check in line with our DBS policy will be required for this post.
