About us

It is the corporate foundation of Forvis Mazars, which supports the charity through an annual donation from the firm's profits (borne by the individual UK partners). While the Trust has broad charitable objects, allowing it to make grants to all charitable purposes at the trustee's discretion, the Board chooses to fund focus areas defined in consultation with Forvis Mazars, and supports organisations nominated by UK partners and team members.

The Foundation is overseen by our friendly, supportive and committed Board of six Trustees.  Forty years into our journey, we've recently refreshed our strategy and are keen to bring in the first permanent member of staff to lead us into the next chapter.

  • implement our grants programme, making best use of technology to streamline the process and ensure we can measure impact
  • recruit and onboard charity partners in line with the strategic priorities of the Trust
  • monitor and communicate the impact of our funding
  • report on progress against plans and recommend improvements
  • support the Trustee Board, from managing recruitment and induction of new Board members to organising regular Board Meetings
  • manage the process for Board meetings including organising the meeting, preparation of papers, attendance and minuting of meeting and presenting as required
  • manage the relationship with our donor Forvis Mazars to engage colleagues at all levels across the UK
  • work with Forvis Mazars' Comms team to raise the foundation's profile internally and externally
  • ensure effective and responsible day to day management of our funds, including accounting record keeping and overseeing the preparation of annual accounts and the independent examination / audit
  • comply with all charity governance requirements, regulations and annual reporting requirements, liaising with charity lawyers as necessary
  • create and maintain appropriate policies and processes for the smooth running of the foundation
  • work closely with the Forvis Mazars corporate sustainability team

About you

You will definitely:

  • be an experienced grant partnership manager with deep knowledge of and connections in the UK charity sector
  • be resilient, flexible and well organised, enjoy working autonomously and thrive on setting your own direction
  • have charity governance experience
  • have detailed knowledge of Charity Commission requirements
  • be a creative and analytical thinker who can develop, deliver and promote our strategy, assess our performance and identify improvements
  • have proven influencing skills at senior level
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • be an authentic and inspiring ambassador for the foundation
  • have worked in or with a business and be comfortable working cross-functionally in a corporate environment to influence a variety of stakeholders

Ideally, you will also have one or more of the following:
