Marketing internship (unpaid) - London Bridge, London

Job description

This is a three-month unpaid internship position from 2nd July – 30th September. Reasonable travel expenses will be paid between the office and your self-arranged and financed (London-based) accomodation when agreed in advance. 

To assist the Digital & Marketing Director in the effective marketing of our market leading overseas property exhibition, A Place in the Sun Live. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to put into practice marketing techniques you have learn/are learning during the course of your marketing degree. You will have the opportunity at the end of the internship to put together a portfolio of the work you have created whilst in the role.

You will have the opportunity to play an active part in all aspects of the company’s activities including liaising and communicating with all relevant departments where necessary. You'll be in contact with the partners and exhibitors of A Place in the Sun Live, assisting with the marketing of the event to an audience of British buyers of overseas property. You'll have the opportunity to create marketing collateral, and get involved with the distribution of both online and offline campaigns.

You will gain experience in digital media, as updating the website and assisting exhibitors with the online exhibitor manual in the run-up to the event is a crucial part of the process. You'll be making contact with journalists in the industry who have received our press materials encouraging them to write about our event.

At the end of your internship, you'll be coming to Birmingham with us for the duration of the show (28th- 30th September), where you'll experience the running of a consumer exhibition first-hand.

Whilst we are unable to guarantee employment to all interns at the end of this intership, we do have a 100% success rate to date of assisting previous interns in securing employment either with us, or one of our partner firms or clients, upon completion of their internship.

Please note: our company delivers the commercial products for the A Place in the Sun brand - the magazine, live events and website. Whilst we are connected to the TV production company, this role is NOT working on production of the television show.

The member of staff at A Place in the Sun responsible for recruiting for this position is on annual leave between 18th and 28th May - please be aware any queries received during this time will not be reponded to until after that time. The closing date for applications is Monday 4th June.
