Film crew/runners required for sci-fi feature film in Cambridge
For those seeking experience on a professional film set
Job description
This is an opportunity to work on our low-budget independent feature film "Through The Lens".The film is set in the near future, in which the financial crisis has escalated out of control, resulting in widespread riots, strikes and public discontent. In response, the government has imposed severe restrictions on social media and internet to suppress further disorder. The story follows Antony and his younger sister, and their investigation into their parents mysterious disappearance, at the hands of a new government agency called the "Internet Protection Agency" (IPA).
We are currently looking for individuals who would like to work as runners on set, helping with the general running of the shoot, and working with the cast and crew in various capacities. This is a invaluable opportunity to get hands-on experience on a working film set.
We are also looking for people interested working as assistants to our professional cinematographer and on-set sound technician. Again, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience alongside experienced professionals.
For these roles NO EXPERIENCE is necessary, only an interest in filmmaking and production.
The shoot will be 5 weeks long, from mid July to the end of August. However, the amount of time you commit can be flexible, depending on your availability.
These positions are unpaid, but we will cover the cost of food and travel. Also, everyone will be fully credited for their work, receive DVD copies, and IMDB credits.
CANDIDATES MUST BE BASED IN THE CAMBRIDGE AREA AND 18 OR OVER.
