Temporary PHP/MySQL/jQuery developer - summer student/graduate

10 years of experience working with clients ranging from SMEs to internally known brands in the Fortune 500 has given us a reputation as a leading IT security specialist. 

You will have the chance to learn about and become exposed to specialist IT security products and solutions whilst working in our newly refurbished Security Operations Centre.

Whilst commercial experience is a bonus we are primarily looking for candidates who have spent time building PHP web applications that can hit the ground running.

The ideal candidate:

• Must have experience writing Object Oriented PHP (ideally PHP5)
• Must have experience of writing SQL including an understanding of performance optimisation and best practices
• Must be competent with CSS and JavaScript (specifically jQuery and jQuery UI)
• Should understand accessibility and flexibility for cross platform design
• Should have experience using Linux to manage web servers
• Could have design experience, although not essential
• Could have experience with IT security tools such as Nessus, nmap, SQL Map, metasploit, Splunk or similar SIEM products, Cisco and Juniper firewalls.

This is a temporary position with an immediate start available ideally suited to a student or graduate looking for work during the summer. We offer an easy going "politics free" working environment very close to New Street train station for easy commuter access.

Candidates must be able to pass an extended CRB check. This position is based in our Birmingham office during normal office hours; virtual working and telecommuting is not available for this role.
